In May 2022, THE GLEN FOR WOMEN, New South Wales' first Aboriginal Community Controlled female specific rehabilitation centre, opened its doors providing holistic treatment and outreach support to Women, and in August 2022 The Glen for Women celebrated the first of its graduates from the program.
The Glen's day-to-day program consists of education and support, grief & trauma therapies, gambling, financial counseling, life skills, pet therapy and an extensive cultural program, and is underpinned by core values of culture, honesty, respect, compassion, and fairness. The Glen has consistently supported Women in their efforts they have put into recovery and in returning home with tools to live happy, productive lives in our communities. Cont.
