WFTC recently held a side event to the UN/CND entitled, "Opportunities and Challenges within Therapeutic Communities to Serve Vulnerable Populations," which highlighted the Declaration of Mallorca, the main action undertaken in the areas of treatment, recovery, and social reintegration of drug-dependent people, including primary care and drug prevention, and the WFTC World Social Report, which details the scope of therapeutic communities by country and region and provides information on TC resources in 26 countries, in which almost 600,000 people with addiction were cared for by WFTC providers.
